Scar Management Regime

After your post-operative outpatient visit, it is crucial to follow a consistent scar management regime to ensure optimal healing and minimize scar formation. Below is the recommended regime using two key products: ALHYDRAN and BAPSCARCARE Gel with SPF.

You should apply these products three times a day for a minimum of 6 weeks, though 3 months is advisable for best results.

Important Notice:

This scar management regime is only applicable to patients who have been treated by Mr. Chan. The duration and timing of the regime can vary depending on the stage and type of scar. Please do not use this regime if you are not a patient of Mr. Chan as it may not be appropriate for your specific case.

STEP 1: Apply ALHYDRAN 

• Action: Gently massage ALHYDRAN cream into your scar for 30 seconds. 
• Why: ALHYDRAN is a deeply hydrating cream that penetrates the skin, improving it from the inside out. It contains high-quality ingredients like fresh Aloe Vera Gel, providing long-lasting hydration that helps your skin recover and reduces skin problems. 

STEP 2: Clean Residue 

• Action: If any residue remains, gently clean it from the skin. If the cream is fully absorbed, you can proceed directly to the next step. 

STEP 3: Apply BAPSCARCARE Gel with SPF 

• Action: Smooth BAPSCARCARE Gel with SPF over the scar in one motion; do not massage or rub it in. 
• Why: BAPSCARCARE Gel is a medical silicone therapy that helps scars heal properly and prevents abnormal scarring. It works to flatten, smooth, and make scars more supple, reducing thickness, redness, and making the scar less noticeable. The SPF component also protects the scar from harmful UV rays, which can worsen scarring. 

Note: If your scar is exposed to sunlight, reapply BAPSCARCARE Gel with SPF every two hours.
